Coffee was nearly extinct on Earth. A blight had left only robusta behind. Tom Hoser, a botanist, geneticist, coffee aficionado and part time pastry chef, lay claim to several moons with volcanic soil in the British Columbia System. He invested heavily in atmospheric control systems and it paid off in a few short years. Arabica seedlings were cloned and Hosers began cultivating.
He was an overnight hit and to this day, his family and investors enjoy the privilege of his success.
